Government
Keokuk has a Mayor/Council form of government and operates by the general laws of a municipal corporation. A Councilperson is elected from each of the voting wards and two are elected at-large for a total nine members. The Mayor is a full-time position. City Council Meetings are held at 7:30 pm on the first and third Thursdays of each month.
