West Point is best known for its summer Sweet Corn Festival which draws a crowd of over 20,000! But, there are many other events to keep the town busy.

Events

St. Mary's Fall Festival
This Festival features a pork loin dinner and an auction of donated items. It is held on the second weekend in October at the Marquette Recreation Center.

Fourth of July Celebration
The Fourth of July Celebration is a day-long celebration on the last Saturday of June from 4PM to 10PM (always conducted on the Saturday before the 4th) in South Park. An estimated 10,000 fans and visitors (including extended families) attend this annual event which includes entertainment, games for children, and one of the largest fireworks displays in the area. Sandwiches, beer, soft drinks, chips, funnel cakes, cotton candy and caramel apples are sold. Baseball/softball games are held. Family picnics are welcomed.

West Point Sweet Corn Festival
The West Point Sweet Corn Festival is held on the second weekend in August and runs Thursday through Sunday. The event, held at the West Point City Square Park, features corn shocking Wednesday evening, free sweet corn every day, chicken and pork chop dinners at the Shelter House, meals at the D of I tent, bingo, arts and crafts, and a carnival midway.
