Recreation and Environment
West Point City Square Park
Four parks provide area residents with a multitude of recreational options. Parks are equipped with an array of amenities including soccer fields, playground equipment, shelter houses, tennis courts, bike trails, and more!

The city maintains three parks in the community including:

City Square Park
This park consists of 2.8 acres in the center of the town and contains a kitchen equipped shelter house, basketball courts, playground equipment, and benches. A dozen or so full-grown trees provide a generous amount of shade to the area.

Veterans Memorial Park
This park is made up primarily of a lighted ball field sited on 2.5 acres situated on the west side of town. Established in 1947 by World War II veterans, other amenities include a swing set, concession stand and bleachers.

South Park
This park is the town's newest and largest park complex sited on 10 acres of land, which include a lighted ball field and bleachers, two soccer fields, two tennis courts, playground equipment, shelter house, and an asphalted bike/hike trail leading through a corridor to the Lee County Conservation Board's Pollmiller Park. South Park is well maintained and was established in 1979.

An additional park, Pollmiller Park is maintained by the Lee County Conservation Board. A half-mile bike/hike trail between West Point and Pollmiller Park starts at the City's South Park continuing through a dedicated corridor to the Lee County Conservation Board's Park at the town's outskirts. The Lee County Conservation Board recently asphalted the trail making it an all weather trail. It is widely utilized by city residents.

Pollmiller Park
Well maintained, county operated 10 acre lake, swimming beach, fishing, camping and picnicking.
